How Far Away Is Remnant Healthcare?

With programs out now like Medi-Share, a nationwide christian-based program that’s sprung up where members “share” the costs of each other’s medical bills, the question remains… “How far away is Remnant healthcare?”  Nowadays, with the cost of everything including health insurance going up, medical needs are becoming a bigger factor.  The New York Times reported this year how health insurance costs have gone up while wages stayed the same.

We have our own doctors and nurses, like pulmonologist Dr. Otis Rickman,(pictured) who works at Vanderbilt Medical Plaza here in Nashville.  But at what point do we open up our own clinic?

The teachings of Gwen Shamblin and Weigh Down have been used by doctors all over the country with positive results for 20+ years.  Many have literally told their patients, “what you need is to watch this video”, and hand them Gwen Shamblin’s card.  Some have even gone so far as to say you need to join the church to stop a certain addiction. But they’re still in a medical system which insists on giving patients “antidepressants” before analyzing the spiritual heart.  A Remnant clinic would have the advantage of getting to the root of the problem and not covering it over by just putting you on more drugs.  It’s been a proven fact, the health of this movement has drastically improved because of people laying down idols (addictions).  Doctors should be watching this 20,000 lb. weight loss line-up very closely, (this was filmed at church one night).

It’s estimated that obesity will become the number one cause of preventable death by 2019, overtaking cardiovascular disease, but this church is doing something about that.  So what’s next?  It’s only natural to move the way of a our own clinic because Christians have been running “hospices” and helping the sick for a long time.  Other religious denominations have their hospitals, (think Baptist,  St. Thomas, Jewish, ect…).

Also note what Reuters had to say last year…
New York, 17 August (ENI/RNS)—Roman Catholic and other church-run health care systems in the U.S. are more efficient and provide higher quality care than their secular counterparts…
Though it’s hard to tell how far away we are from a legitimate health service, it’s not impossible to establish one.  Just look how far we’ve come already.  This church movement didn’t exist 15 years ago.  We’ve already got church leaders, doctors and nurses volunteering medical advice and help to members, and we’ve already got thousands of testimonies of improved health.   Keep praying that God will show us how to make Remnant Clinic a reality.    -MS

Keep all the needs in the community if possible. I work for a well known fortune 500 company with good group insurance rates but would love to have it inside the community. Yeah.! Public healthcare is definitely getting more costly I bet largely due to fear of lawsuits, cost of schooling and possibly greed. Remnant healthcare would be awesome.

This would be so awesome…with so many who cannot get or afford health insurance and with the drugs of today that are prescribed having so many side effects….A remnant clinic with doctors and nurses “in the message” would be so welcomed!

I work in the pharmaceutical clinical research industry and it is truly scary. It is not the same as it was even 13 years ago. The companies are not in it to find a cure, but to cover the symptoms, which typically create more symptoms causing you to need more drugs-spend more money. This would be awesome!!!!!

I am truly looking forward to what God is doing in the healthcare field. I grew up in a family with health care jobs and I work in the Health care industry. The teachings of Weigh Down Ministries set me free from my own curses brought on

growing up morbid obese. God has restored my health and I pray for all the hurting people who do not have any answers. God is the answer.
