Keeping the Faith in this 2023 Wedding Season

Following God’s lead in keeping weddings about the most important thing!

Here at Remnant Fellowship Church, our Wedding Committee and event ministry groups have entered 2023 in a full sprint! As many couples took that exciting leap into engagement, it has been an impressive and eventful few months.

“We are so thrilled to see many beautiful couples decide to follow that lead from God to come together as Husband and Wife! Each couple has their own amazing testimony and story of finding love its one of the best parts of this planning process; to learn how they found a relationship with God and how each other!” explained one Remnant Fellowship wedding coordinator.

It can be so easy to get caught up in the granular details when it comes to planning a wedding. From looking through fabric swatches for dresses or deciding if you want flowers or candles down the aisle. These details can all hold high weight in importance but none come above finding God’s lead for this covenant ceremony and the rest of a bride and groom’s lives.

Ellen, a Bride-to-be, expressed perfectly the joy behind having a future spouse with Christ-like qualities:

“He is my very best friend, and I cannot wait to be his wife and experience every stage of life together, because I know he will be unwavering in his faith and therefore be the perfect helpmate. My love for him grows with every minute… And so my love and appreciation to God grows for bringing us together.” … Read More

As eloquently stated on our website, every effort is made to keep God at the center of each event and covenant union between a bride and Groom.

“Our Church Leadership and the Committees of gifted Saints who oversee Wedding planning go to great lengths…in prayer, word, deed, and in total, peaceful cooperation with one another…to make sure that each event reflects a combination of things as led by GOD’S Spirit: the dreams and wishes of the bride and groom, the colors and climate of the season, the music and reception activities that uniquely represent the couple and the time of the year, and the decorations and foliage that best represent the beauty with which GOD is clothing the Earth at that time.” – Excerpt from

With the amount of marriages taking place in the United States decreasing each year, we believe it is vital to our future to follow the principles laid out in scripture. We are intentional to keep our faith in God so that we can be lights in this world!

Psalm 65: 1, 4-5,  “Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion; to you our vows will be fulfilled…Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts!  We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple.  You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness, O God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth.”
